Our Saturday Snowstorm

We got about 9 inches of snow this past Saturday. Amanda, Natalie and I went out to shovel and to introduce Natalie to the 'white stuff'. She was happy to participate in the shoveling (as long as we didn't get any snow on her shoes:-) I also took her sledding, but she was less than enthusiastic so our sledding time didn't last too long.

Some recent pictures

Well, Grant has been home with us for about a week and is transitioning well into his new schedule. Feedings, sleeping and the occasional interaction with his sister (well, mostly his big sister interacting with him) fill his day.
Here are two pictures from last week. The first is a picture taken of him in the hospital. The second picture is a one of him with Natalie when we brought him home.
All are well and we are looking forward to a Christmas season as a family of four:-)
Love to all!

First picture

It's been a truly blessed day... quite a long day, but everyone is doing well. Here is a picture taken this afternoon while Grant was resting with Mom.

Tomorrow is moving day when Grant gets to come home and meet his big sister (due to new Hospital protocol no visitors under the age of 18 are permitted during flu season). We look forward to having everyone under one roof.

Many thanks to everyone for emails, calls and encouragement. We also appreciate all the comments on our blog. We have been reading them throughout the day.
Love to all!
Dave (for Amanda, Natalie and Grant)

Grant David Creason

Grant David Creason arrived at 12:11am on Wednesday, December 9. Amanda's delivery went very well and we are all so very excited.

Grant weighed in at 9 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 21 inches long. He is quite a big boy and we expect he will have a healthy appetite. He takes the 'largest Creason baby' title from his uncle Josh, who weighed 9 pounds, 6 ounces.

All are resting comfortably and in excellent spirits. We thank God for His blessings to our family. I plan to have pictures posted on the blog later today.

10pm

Contractions are 2-4 minutes apart.

8:15pm

Contractions are getting stronger. Amanda has been given an epidural and is now resting...

Not much happening...

We are settled in the labor and delivery wing at Harrisburg Hospital. They broke Amanda's water and now we are waiting....We anticipate it will be a long evening.

Going to the Hospital Tuesday at 4pm

We head to the hospital this afternoon so Amanda can be induced. She is resting now at home and we are preparing for what is to come. I hope to have more news as the evening progresses and will try to update the blog as I am able.

We trust the Lord for His care and provision.

Quick Update

Our little guy is not quite ready to make his appearance-
We are planning to visit the Doctor's office tomorrow for a final appointment. If all is well (and if he doesn't decide to come on his own) then Amanda will be induced on Tuesday afternoon.

We'll keep you posted:-)

Visit to the Strasburg Railroad

The Kurz, Fontaine & Creason gang visited the Strasburg Railroad on Black Friday. Here are some pictures from our time at lunch and at the Railroad.

Thanksgiving 2009 Pictures

Here are a couple of pictures from our Thanksgiving meal in Carlisle.
Thanks for hosting Mom and Dad!

The little guy is coming soon...

If our little guy doesn't come this weekend, we expect that Amanda will be induced by Tuesday, December 8th. Amanda went to the doctor yesterday and while everything still looks good, it does appear that he is preparing to make an appearance.

I hope to be able to blog during the delivery, as I did with Natalie's birth. Some of that will depend on internet access, schedules and how the delivery goes. I'll keep you posted:-)

Natalie on the cell phone

Natalie has quickly figured out how to use any cell phones she finds. Yesterday she called home from Grandma Creason's cell phone. We have a message on our home answering machine with an audible 'Uh-oh' on the other end:-)

Today she found my cell phone and was showing me how to make phone calls and send text messages-

Halloween Video

The video is a little dark, but this is a video of Natalie's first 'trick or treat' (she didn't really figure out how the whole process worked until much later in the evening...for now Grandma just walks her up and helps her pick a piece of candy:-)

Almost 8 months pregnant

December 7th doesn't seem that far away...

Here is a picture of Amanda and I taken this past weekend.

Flossing

I found Natalie with about 10 feet of dental floss for her 7 or 8 teeth.

I had to take some pictures:-)
